BOVADA U.S. RACING APP REVIEW
Overview
Bovada have been one of the biggest bookmakers in the US for a number of years now – albeit under the name Bodog. The site has managed to steer clear of the tough laws imposed for US bettors by re-branding then re-assigning themselves to the state of Las Vegas where they can now reside, legally, under the name Bovada. Their betting app is a relatively new feature to their betting armoury. It’s definitely something that is still in ascendency, but after the re-brand, the majority of the company appears to still be finding their feet somewhat. |

In terms of horse racing the app still offers very little. But nonetheless, we will look at what they do have on offer at the time of writing.
Features
As you land on the home screen the first thing that will really catch your eye is how good this app looks. We love the black and white layout which gives it a really modern, yet professional finish. It’s simple to navigate and the markets that are on offer are slowly but surely starting to bulk up.
Once into the horse racing section, as we mentioned, you will notice that it’s very sparse. In fact, all you can bet is a couple of future races which happen to include The Epsom Oaks and The Epsom Derby. Obviously as the year unfolds, these will likely change to other future events, but at the minute this is all that’s on offer.
It’s a very simple layout; once you are into the market you can select the horses name and then the odds that are on offer. This is basically all that the app provides for its users in terms of horse racing, which is a little disappointing.
One thing we will add, and to Bovada’s credit, is that if any UK or European based bettor is looking for an app to bet on American sports then you won’t go far wrong with Bovada. Whilst these are the sorts of markets that are limited on many UK based bookmakers, they are in abundance with Bovada, mainly because of their US roots.

Verdict
Well there’s not a lot to say really about the horse racing section on the Bovada app. It’s very limited. There are no form guides, predictors, race information or any amount of depth in terms of the races it covers.
Whilst it’s a possibility that these markets will grow, and we will expect it to, at the minute there are far better options for horse racing punters then to choose Bovada.
